I bought that model in the 90s but never got to finish it. Its my favorite plane partially because it was the first large plane i ever saw. Tells you where i was born.

It looks like the real thing. I always loved the Black Beauty because it was never as 'over the top' as the Batmobile , the Munster Coach, or other TV cars from the 60s.I have this model and it is fine. Can`t wait to start it!

What size are these command center human figurines?

Were exactly in the station is this Command Center located? [ I've seen only random episodes over the years leavingme clueless. ] I'm asking because in comic books an important 1st time representation of a command center is sometimes revealed to readers as an expanded view of a smaller point of referrence, on a larger mapped out area below and behind it. And a clear funnel pointing down to the point of referrence. For example: Here's where the command center is located on this base. And here is what goes on inside of it. An optional path with the funnel is instead place particular colored LED on an outside corner of the base's enlarged command center. And a similar color LED at the point of referrence of this base diarramma.

Could have used some Bare Metal Foil for around the wheel openings and rocker panel. Also darkened the parts of the wheels to accentuate the five spoke design. Otherwise it looks fantastic, and its not easy trying to one up the Maisto kits

What's really scary of those 1958 Plymouths is the straight steering column and their weak factory drum brakes. Yes, it must be factory restored. But I would prefer a safer customized classic with reinforced cabin, floor, doors, pilars, and hardtop. Add a Mopar compatible safety steering system, disc power brakes, seat belts and air bags. You'll still have a gorgeous and safer classic to drive and enjoy for thousands of exta miles. A traveling and safety equipped classic "Christine" to go everywhere, including the classic car shows. Thanks.

Hey, I discovered that where those little "Bars" are on the chassis top, you will see that there is a slight "Shift" on the differential. You can see it from the top, so at some point AMT made a "Splice" at that point, probably to either extend or shorten that chassis. It's right in the mold itself!

Question, when you put the halves together, and fill joints how to you touch-up the paint. Or did you fully assemble first then paint

First edition of this kit WAS a Ford Fairlane Torino GT. The rear bumper is correct for the Torino, but the front grille is not the Torino grille. It's a Fairlane 500 fast-back grille. The following year, AMT added all the Cobra trim to the kit, but never changed the rear bumper or the Fairlane grille for the correct Cobra pieces. So basically...it's a mutt!

Hey Trek Works! I didn't know you built this kit. I am going to be building one sometime coming up here and I am wondering if you found some of the problems I did in dry-fitting the chassis.

On the warp nacelle domes, would you orange frost the inside or outside domes, or just clear frost
